After winning the Vaporware award for over a decade, it seems Duke Nukem Whenever, err, I mean Forever might see the light of day!    The folks over @ Kotaku heard from someone's best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who heard that Gearbox Software will be finishing up Duke Nukem Forever! . I guess it's pretty serious.

Duke Nukem Forever

Gearbox Software has release the following games:  Borderlands and Aliens & Brothers in Arms.   They are rumored to have picked up DNF where 3D Realms left off.  Another source says that there will be a playable demo of Duke Nukem Forever coming out later this year!  That would be fricken' awesome!!

Gearbox Software:  PLEASE don't let 3D Realms founder George Broussard have any say-so in this project!! He's the reason the game was never released!

UUPDATE:  It's for real!!  Duke Nukem Forever has been confirmed and has a playable demo at PAX 2010!!! Here's a video of the gameplay:
